HAPPY JE3 DAY 2022

Today, the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation marks it’s fourth annual ‘JE3 Day’ to remember Justin and raise further awareness around CPR and Defibrillators.

Today, the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation marks it’s fourth annual ‘JE3 Day’ to remember Justin and raise further awareness around CPR and Defibrillators.

The annual campaign spotlights rates of cardiac arrest—30,000 per year in the UK—and the need for increased public access to life-saving defibrillators and CPR skills.

Football clubs with a special connection to Justin Edinburgh are showing their support for JE3 Foundation through a day of action, while remembering the former player and manager who passed away from cardiac arrest in 2019.

Supporters from up and down the country, and across leagues can get in on the action with three simple ways to support JE3 Day:

  1. Sign the petition for Justin’s Law. We are currently at just over 55,000 signatures with our target of 100,00 signatures to legally mandate access to Automated External Defibrillators in all health and sports facilities in the UK. We encourage clubs/businesses to share the petition with their respective audience to encourage and drive signatures *link to: https://www.change.org/p/uk-parliament-justins-law-defibrillators-in-all-health-and-sporrs-facilities-in-the-uk
  1. Learn CPR The JE3 Foundation recently launched a new educational film to encourage people to get hands on and learn CPR. We encourage you to share this film with your respective audience to encourage them to watch, learn and practice this life saving skill *link to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1vvB_6dF6A&t=61s
  1. Book a CPR/Defibrillator workshop. Head over to the JE3 Foundation website for more information and Enter ‘CPR’ in the message field to enquire. *link to https://je3foundation.com/contact/

CEO Charlie Edinburgh commented ” JE3 Day is all about continuing to engage with people so that we can encourage them to learn life-saving skills, educate them about the importance of ‘Justin’s Law’ and ultimately save lives.

Today, I ask that people support our cause, and remember my Dad on the day of love (Valentine’s Day), whilst taking time out to sign our petition or book one of our CPR workshops so that we can continue to change outcomes in the face of cardiac arrest.”

As a former pupil of the school, Charlie was in attendance to thank the school and it’s pupils for it’s recent fundraising, which has been generated throughout their ‘House Charity Week’, and to raise further awareness around the importance of CPR and the use of defibrillators.

CEO Charlie Edinburgh commented “What an honour this is for myself as a former pupil of the school, and for everyone connected with the foundation. I was grateful to the pupils and the school for giving me a warm welcome and listening to our story but also to thank them for all of their amazing fundraising efforts for JE3.”

JE3 Foundation partners with Crowdfunder UK

By News

The Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation is delighted to announce a new partnership with Crowdfunder UK.

Today, the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation has announced a new partnership with Crowfunder UK.

Crowdfunder is the #1 crowdfunding platform in the UK, having raised £200m. It connects projects that matter with people who care.

Every minute counts. Cardiac Arrest is sudden and often without warning. Increasing public access to defibrillators rapidly increases the chance of survival. The Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation is partnering with Crowdfunder to help communities raise the money for defibs, working together to install the life-saving equipment in workspaces, schools, and community spaces.

This new campaign is more than just increasing access to vital equipment around the UK. Crowdfunding shines a spotlight on all sorts of societal issues and this work will drive greater awareness of the foundation’s founding principles. Access to defibs, education around CPR, and legislative change are its primary objectives and this partnership will only support progress in all three.

But this of course goes beyond the world of football, and sports more generally. Cardiac arrest can happen anywhere and often without warning so increasing public access to defibrillators in every corner of the country will rapidly increase the chance of survival.

From our perspective, this work encapsulates the power of crowdfunding. It’s a journey that started out as a simple community project and grew into a collaborative campaign, aiming to create a lasting legacy through the platform.

We’ve proved time and again that we can make a real difference by working together and this partnership will be no exception.

JE3 Supports World Heart Federation #WorldHeartDay

By News

Today, the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation is supporting the World Heart Federations latest Campaign, #WorldHeartDay.

World Heart Day is an opportunity for everyone to stop and consider how best to use heart for humanity, for nature, and for you. Beating cardiovascular disease (CVD) is something that matters to every beating heart.

Use Heart means to think differently. To make the right decisions. To act with courage. To help others. To engage with this important cause. The heart is the only organ you can hear and feel. It is the first and last sign of life. It is one of the few things with the potential to unite all of us as people.

For Every Heart involves the use of “FOR” and swings the focus from the actions themselves to the beneficiaries of the actions, allowing for wider application of the campaign while also making it more personal. We want World Heart Day messages to reach as many individuals as possible to help achieve cardiovascular health for every heart.

Justins Law – Petition Update

By News

JE3 Foundation are fighting for legislative change

Current UK legislation does not require health and sport facilities to be equipped with life-saving defibrillators. The JE3 Foundation is fighting to change this.

Join thousands of people who have already signed the Justin’s Law petition.

CEO Charlie Edinburgh has given an update regarding our Campaign.

“It’s still hard to comprehend it’s been over three years since we lost my dad. Everyone at the foundation is extremely proud of the progress we have made during some challenging and unprecedented times for everyone.

We continue to make a difference with the rollout of life-saving defibrillators and our CPR and defibrillator workshops, none of which would be possible without the overwhelming support we continue to receive.

Our long-term objective of changing the law in Justin’s name has been well received and a lot of hard work is been pushed into this. I have personally met and spoken with a number of MP’s who are on board with our push for Justin’s Law and nothing fills me with more pride than seeing over 53,000 people signing our change.org petition. There is still a lot of work to do, but every signature we receive is another step in the right direction to make sure that all UK health and sports facilities are equipped with defibrillators so that we can continue to change outcomes in the face of cardiac arrest.

Thank you to everyone who has and continues to support JE3 Foundation”
